It is hard to put into words what God has done in my life through this mentorship.

Can you imagine meeting someone for the first time, and they begin sharing things that only you and the Lord knew? Things you had buried deep inside because of shame, fear, or regret. The struggles you hid behind a smile every day while silently suffering.

Where do I even begin?! I was privy to Brittany's involvement with my wife and her spiritual growth, but had NO idea the Lord had plans to invest in me spiritually as well. It was a little rocky at first, to say the least. I had to come to terms with the fact that God had chosen to speak to me through her, but also, both Brittany and I had to get to know each other as people before I would eventually open up to her. I was skeptical...

Where do I begin? My testimony is that you can overcome! I was smiling outside, but my inside was depressed, feeling unworthy, living in the past. But thanks be to God for flowing through Brittany to get to me. I had to answer some hard questions, but they were the truth about me.

When our son was just a newborn, doctors told us he had a large hole in his heart. They explained it most likely wouldn’t close on its own and that by three months old, he would need open-heart surgery.
