 “Now when I had delivered the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to the Lord…” (Jeremiah 32:16)

Once in the promised land, the land filled with milk and honey, the people of Israel soon forgot God and turned their faces and their ears away from Him. They once again became disobedient, defiant, and super independent, as if they arrived by their own might. So much so, God said that when they arrived, they didn’t even ask for Him!

“I brought you into a bountiful country to eat its fruit and its goodness. But when you entered, you defiled My land and made My heritage an abomination. The priests did not say, ‘Where is the Lord?’ and those who handle the law did not know Me.” (Jeremiah 2:7, 8) ...
